Tough Enough to Wear Pink
was created by entrepreneur and breast cancer survivor Terry Wheatley to bring the sport of professional rodeo and the western community together to rally against breast cancer. Since its inception in 2004, TETWP has empowered rodeos and western events in the U.S. and Canada to focus attention on the need for a cure. To date, the campaign has raised $7.5 million dollars for breast cancer charities, much of which stays right in the community. The grassroots movement has inspired other sports communities to mount their own TETWP campaigns, spreading a message of hope and support that reaches beyond the rodeo arena to competitors, families and fans across America.
Are You Tough Enough To Wear Pink?
54th Annual Tehachapi PRCA Rodeo August 18th and 19th, 2017
Celebrating 54 years of providing our community and the surrounding communities of Kern County with quality rodeo entertainment, the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association announces that our 2014 PRCA Rodeos will be held on August 18th & 19th at the Tehachapi Event Center and Rodeo Grounds on Dennison Road & Hwy 58.
Cowboys from across the country will come to compete for points toward the PRCA finals and large cash purses in grueling events like bronc riding, steer wrestling and bull riding. Lightening fast Cowgirls will be taking razor sharp turns around the barrels and down to the finish line. The adrenaline will be pumping as bull-fighters and barrel men will serve as bodyguards for bull riders who've been thrown from bulls after their eight-second rides. World class stock will be bucking hard and kicking high to assure plenty of rodeo excitement.
53 years and still buckin' strong
