50  YEARS  'N  STILL  BUCKIN'  STRONG

     &
Proudly Presents the...

50th Annual
Tehachapi Mountain PRCA Rodeo
August 16th & 17th

Celebrating 50 years of providing our community and the surrounding communities of Kern County with quality rodeo entertainment, the Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association announces that our 2013 PRCA Rodeos will be held on August 16th & 17th at the Tehachapi Event Center and Rodeo Grounds on Dennison Road & Hwy 58.

Cowboys from across the country will come to compete for points toward the PRCA finals and large cash purses in grueling events like bronc riding, steer wrestling and bull riding.  Lightening fast Cowgirls will be taking razor sharp turns around the barrels and down to the finish line. The adrenaline will be pumping as bull-fighters and barrel men will serve as bodyguards for bull riders who've been thrown from bulls after their eight-second rides.  Once again, Salt River Rodeo Co. will provide world class stock that will be bucking hard and kicking high to assure plenty of rodeo excitement.

We will again feature a dance after the rodeo on Saturday night benefiting a local children’s cancer foundation, Small Miracles. The price for the dance is $10 and all proceeds will go directly to Small Miracles.

The tickets for the Rodeo can be purchased for a presale $2 discount prior to the day of the rodeo at our local ticket outlets in Tehachapi Albertsons, Hemme Hay, City Slickers, and the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce. The Emporium Western Store in Bakersfield, as well as the Boot Barn in both Bakersfield and Lancaster, will also have our rodeo tickets for sell. The price of presale tickets will be $13 for Adults.  A special admission ticket price of $10 will be for Seniors 60+, active military personal with a military id, and children ages 5-12.  Children under the age of 5 are admitted free with a paid adult.

Tough Enough to Wear Pink was created by entrepreneur and breast cancer survivor Terry Wheatley to bring the sport of professional rodeo and the western community together to rally against breast cancer.  Since its inception in 2004, TETWP has empowered rodeos and western events in the U.S. and Canada to focus attention on the need for a cure.  To date, the campaign has raised $7.5 million dollars for breast cancer charities, much of which stays right in the community.  The grassroots movement has inspired other sports communities to mount their own TETWP campaigns, spreading a message of hope and support that reaches beyond the rodeo arena to competitors, families and fans across America.
